Covid 19 Statement - A Bigger Ray of Hope!
We are following all Government guidelines with regard to Covid to protect both our customers and staff.
Recent changes concerning non-essential retail opening have allowed us to review our trade counter opening. We are delighted to say that our trade counter is open again for personal visits but, to maintain social distancing and avoid queues outside, by appointment only. This will protect vulnerable members of staff and give you, our customers the confidence to visit us. Please ring 0121 778 6400 to arrange a mutually convenient time to visit. No more than two will be allowed at any one time and mask must be worn.
Our business is fully open for on line and telephone enquiries for installations, servicing, repairs and hire. Our on-line shop is also open for sales. Orders will be dispatched by courier.

Central Theatre Supplies is proud to serve the needs of everyone who is involved in performing arts. Our clients include theatres, schools, colleges, places of worship, conference venues, events venues and construction professionals. We have been established for almost 40 years and are based in Hall Green, Birmingham.
The last two years have seen Central Theatre Supplies, under new owner Jo Beaumont-Ward, consolidate it’s place in the market by continuing to provide the company’s personalised service.
Covid, as we know, has affected the way that everyone has been working since March 2020. Rather than stand still, Central Theatre Supplies has grasped the opportunity to embrace the challenges posed and adapt to the circumstances. Happily, as a result, our team remains intact and ready assist our customers to plan for and deal with the “new normal”.

With theatrical equipment at venues and schools having been effectively sat idle for at least twelve months, it is likely that there could be unexpected problems when the equipment is called back into service.
Along with Portable Appliance Testing we are offering you the opportunity for us to check fuses and breakers in dimmer racks, the runners and wires on curtain tracks and give your control desks a little bit of TLC.
In addition we will provide a Rig Report on the condition of high level equipment.

We have decided to hold a sale of our ex-hire equipment.
If you are looking for affordable equipment to get you started or, indeed, to supplement your existing equipment, keep a look out on this site for the bargains that we will be offering on a first come, first served basis.
We will be including wash lights, profile spots, dimmers, accessories and projection screens.
All of the equipment has been kept fully serviced and serviceable and will come ready to be put to use.

Central Theatre Supplies’ highly experienced staff have pride in being able to help our customers find the correct solution for their needs. We have an extensive range of Sound, Light, Effects, Drapes and Staging for hire. We have a process of continuous upgrade of our Hire stock to reflect the requirements of our customers and developments in technology.
Our specialist installations team has been operating for over 30 years and is available for the installation of lighting, sound and stage infrastructure. We are also able to carry out rig inspections to existing installations and advise customers of any necessary work required to bring the rig up to modern compliance standards.
In addition to our physical retail shop, we operate our on line store where you are able to browse and purchase sound, light and effects products. On line orders are dispatched by courier or by our own delivery vehicles.
Central Theatre Supplies in house workshops are able to provide service and repair facilities for many items of sound and lighting equipment. We offer an appraisal inspection service of equipment to help customers decide the economics of proceeding with repairs or opting for renewal.
